We’re excited to announce our first ever Graduation Ceremony in Shanghai, China. Extending our Manchester hospitality across the globe, we’re looking forward to celebrating the remarkable achievements of our graduate class of 2025.
Our ceremony in Shanghai will take place on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 at the Shanghai Centre Theatre, followed by a reception at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
The China celebration will give students the opportunity to enjoy their Graduation Ceremony with their friends and family, in a setting more local to them. Graduates will be able to wear a graduation gown, have their name read out, cross the stage, and have an opportunity for photographs, in similar way to how our ceremonies take place in Manchester.
The ceremony is for students who recently graduated from the University of Manchester, who opted to attend a ceremony in a location more convenient for their own circumstances.
The ceremony fee is 1350 RMB per student, which includes two guest tickets, academic robes and the post-ceremony reception.
Students who expressed an interest in the ceremony have been contacted directly by email, by the University’s Graduation team, to confirm their place and to pay the fee via a secure payment link.
The deadline for payment is Thursday, 22 January 2026, at 12 midnight (8am CST) and the payment is non-refundable.
