Winter 2021 graduation

It is with deep regret, that we have made the very difficult decision to postpone next week’s Winter Graduation ceremonies, in light of the introduction of the government’s Plan B guidance for COVID-19 and the growing concerns and available data about the COVID-19 variant, Omicron.

It is not a decision we have taken at all lightly, particularly given the very close proximity to the event itself. However, the safety of you, your guests, and staff always comes first and we hope therefore that you can understand why the decision has been made.

We are planning to offer rescheduled dates in March and April 2022 and as soon as more specific dates are available we will be in touch with further information about the rescheduled ceremonies.

Summer 2020, winter 2020, summer 2021 graduation

We can now confirm that all rescheduled ceremonies will take place in the Whitworth Hall from Monday, 21 March to Tuesday, 5 April 2022. These ceremonies will be for the classes of 2020 and 2021, whose ceremonies would originally have taken place in the summer 2020, winter of 2020 and summer 2021.

You will receive a separate registration email closer to the time once these details have been finalised.

Make sure we can contact you

The University’s Division of Development of Alumni Relations will contact you with updates about your graduation ceremony.

If you use a different email address to the one you last told us about on My Manchester, you must use the change your personal details form to make sure you receive these updates. 

You will not be able to register for graduation if the University does not have your email address.
