How many guests can I bring?

We guarantee two tickets per graduate, free of charge, for everyone who completes registration.

How do I request additional guest tickets?

If there is a specific reason you require additional tickets, please add the number of tickets and your comments to the Student System when completing the registration.   

The requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, considering the capacity of the Hall and the Health and Safety arrangement. Additional tickets will only apply for the ceremony in the Hall, not for the celebration marquee.

Can children come to the ceremony?

The duration of our graduation ceremonies are approximately 45 minutes to one hour, and are not tailored for young children, although their attendance is permitted. Children over four years of age are required to have their own seats and guest ticket. We do not recommend having children on your lap, although children up to four years of age are permitted to sit on other guests’ laps.

How can I invite friends or family to my graduation, if they do not live in the UK?

If you would like to invite friends or family members, who live abroad, to attend your Graduation, please read the details below.

Your guests might need to apply for:

• a standard visitor visa (if they are a visa national ) or
• an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) (if they are a non-visa national).
