Registration FAQs

Do I have to attend the ceremony?

No. The graduation ceremonies are celebratory events for you to formally receive your award in front of your guests and fellow graduates and celebrate your achievements at Manchester. However, you may choose to graduate in absentia if you prefer.

I have outstanding tuition fees – can I still register to come to the ceremony?

If you have any tuition fees owing to the University you cannot attend the ceremony and your certificate and transcripts are withheld until the debt is settled. To be eligible to graduate, all outstanding debts must be paid by 28 June 2024.

I have registered to attend graduation and have not received my confirmation email or my confirmation email states that I have zero tickets allocated?

All confirmation emails will be sent on Thursday, 4 July 2024. If after this point you have still not recieved your email, this may indicate that you you have tuition fees owing to the University (any outstanding tuition fees will prevent you from graduation or obtaining any official documents) - please contact graduation@manchester.ac.uk if you need to dicuss this or you think this is a mistake.

How do I register?
